Quinoline Yellow is a bright greenish yellow, water soluble dye, which is known as food additive that is developed using sulfonating 2-(2-quinolyl) Indan-1, 3-dione. These offered food color are included in beverages, confectionery, meat, bakery, dairy fats and oils, seafood, snacks, dry mixes and seasonings, fruit preparation, convenient food, flavors, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.  Quinoline Yellow is the only dye in this group of importance for use in food coloration.
